Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of day-to-day operations of the agency, the development of budgets and personnel management, and implementation of programs and services. The Executive Director reports to a volunteer Board of Directors, manages a professional staff, interacts with a large group of volunteers and clients, and collaborates with community and governmental agencies to fulfill the mission of Northwest Dane Senior Services. Her duties also include Program Delivery and oversight, Fundraising, Board Support, and Community/Public Relations. Ms. Suchomel earned an Associates Degree in Human Services with Gerontology emphasis in 1994 and a Bachelor's of Science in Human Services with a Business minor from Upper Iowa University in 1998. Ms. Suchomel has worked in many aspects of older adult care ranging from managing an Adult Day Care, managing two Assisted Living facilities, Director of a two county Nutrition Program, supervising in home care and as a case manager. She has 15 years of experience in non-profit management; she also served on the United Fund Board of Iowa County 2006-2007, Wisconsin Adult Day Services Association Activity Chair 1995-1998, Alzheimer's Association Mardis Gras Chair 1997-2002, Area Agency on Aging of Dane County Legislative chair 2003-2006, Elderly Services Network of Dane County (ESN) Chair 2004-2006 and 2009- current. Ms. Suchomel has a strong connection to working for and with older adults. She is a strong advocate both locally, county wide and in the state. Her life's philosophy is accountability, integrity and posses a strong work ethic. Her care and compassion can be seen in all aspects of her involvement within the agency. Deanna Topper, ext. 223 Case Manager email:

Deanna Topper, Case Manager, assists seniors and their families by assessing their needs and coordinating programs and services to help them remain safe, independent and in their own homes. Information, assistance and referrals are made to provide a complete picture of what is available in order to help seniors make informed choices. Deanna has been working with seniors for many years and has personal experience caregiving for her own elderly family members. She completed the Human Service Degree Program at MATC in 2004. Currently, Deanna is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Public Administration at Upper Iowa University. Candy joined Northwest Dane Senior Services in February of 2009 as an Administrative Assistant. Her duties consist of accounts payable and receivable along with editing the monthly newsletter, web design and month end volunteer reports. She assists in the fundraising efforts, is on the marketing committee and recruits new volunteers through the community and other resources. Her employment history involves 12 years in area nursing home facilities along with 7 years in an office setting with similar duties. Candy enjoys working with the seniors on a personal level and is continuing her education in Accounting and Business Management.

Cindy Danz, Nutrition / Activity Coordinator, is responsible for the daily Nutrition program, Monday – Friday. She also schedules and oversees activity trips. She has been in her current position since March of 2005. Before that, Cindy did “Supportive Home Chore” since 1996. Many years before, she worked with In-Home Care and respite. She has had training in Independent Living, worked at Black Earth Lodge and Nursing Home in the 1980’s. Cindy has knowledge and strong working habits with Seniors.
